After working cleanup and helping setup a shelter in the basement of Union Hill last night I went home to watch a few TV shows and relax. After about five minutes on the couch the transformer across the street blows up and leaves us without electricity (or...gasp...the interweb!).

Luckily, our friends Chris and Stacey Sisk were there to lend a hand and a comfy bed for last night. Hopefully AmerenUE gets to our house sometime today and restores electricity for us.

Here are some pictures from the ice storm today. Today didn't start out that good with my mailbox missing when I woke up. I fixed that with my new Christmas present!

Chris Sisk and I spent some quality time this afternoon helping people in our community by cleaning up fallen trees out of their driveways, sidewalks and roads for them.
