Today I decided I would see what my digital camera would do in the video department so I took it along with me to Turkey Creek Driving Range to hit some balls before it started to rain. This is what I came up with...
Today Nick, Eric and I went to play 9 holes at Tanglewood and of course it started to rain on us. We are going to try to finish up Friday afternoon.
So Missy and I are trying to grow tomatoes from a plant that her boss at work gave her. The good news is that it keeps getting bigger...
... the bad news is that we dont have any tomatoes yet.
Are we doing this right? Anyone have any secret tomato gowing hints?
Today I start my 13 day vacation with nothing major planned. I'd like to go scuba diving, play some golf, do some consulting and a little of work around the house.
If you have anything cool to do over the next two weeks let me know!
Missy and I normally don't eat out after church but today we went with another couple from our Sunday school class to McAlister's deli that has been opened in Jefferson City for a few months. I had a potato the size of my head (if you know me you know that is huge!) that was really good.
Its really worth checking out if you haven't ate there yet.
Yesterday was the Summer Solstice and thus the longest day of the year. So I celebrated it like any guy would, I played golf until 9:00 at Oak Hills with Eric.
Happy Summer Everyone!
I didn't have anything big planed for today so I decided last night I was going to cook some ribs on my propane grill today. I followed the general instructions in this YouTube Video with a few modifications* and the ribs turned out great. I think this smoker box really made a big difference.
*If you are down to your last 15 minutes of cooking ribs and you run out of propane, your buddy who is on vacations propane tank is fair game. This will be known as the Hank Hill Rule.
Last night Missy and I went out and played a 9 hole scramble at Oak Hills. We had a great time and it was the first time Missy had played there.
Here is a neat video to help celebrate internet safety month:
Since I cant think of anything witty to blog about...
Fingerjig is a fun little typing game that tests your accuracy and speed for randomly selected words (each level tests a different typing skill).
So whats your score?
I just finished my post-golf nap and I am proud to report that we finished fourth this morning in the Union Hill Baptist Church golf tournament. We did really well for having a bunch of guys who don't play as much as I do.
I finally got around to getting a new set of irons. I picked up the Nike Ignite Irons (3H-P) at ProAm Golf Center.

Now we will see how they do this Saturday at the UHBC Tourney.
Use your mouse to aim and shoot the red balls and knock the yellow balls off the board. Remove all the yellow balls from the board before the red balls are eliminated, and you'll advance to the next level.
Today is my beautiful wifes birthday. We are not going to do much since she is helping her best friend get ready for her wedding tomorrow, but if you see her wish her Happy Birthday!
