BBQ Time!

It was about 90 degrees today so we dug out the BBQ pit, cleaned it up and I cooked up the first steaks of the summer.

I hope the weather stays like this. I love coming home from work and throwing something on the grill.

Friday Night Fun

Last night Melissa had a candle party with her friend Jennifer. She said she had a blast and bought some candles.

Nick, Eric and I went to Boonville where Nick spent most of the time inspecting the moat. All in all we had a pretty good Friday Night.

Capitol Softball Tournament

Tonight I played in the Capitol's annual softball tournament. I didn't play very well but I did score on run and have one hit. Maybe next year I will practice a little bit and play better.

Farming aint easy.

Today was really nice so after I mowed the grass this morning I headed to Linn to give Eric a hand on his farm. I helped him put up an electric fence, feed some calvs, delivered some seed and eat some pizza. I also didnt break anything so hopefully he will let me come back and help him some more this year. Maybe next time he will let me drive a tractor.

Want to buy the Hollywood Sign?

One of my favorite shows HU$TLE is back on AMC on Wednesday Night. I just watched it off my DVR this afternoon and the gang sold the Hollywood Sign to some slick talking Texan.

I get it, I am OLD!

I play Golf. I like to go to bed early. I think teenagers are stupid. I get cranky if I don't have my caffeine. When my knee pops in the morning it sounds like a small cannon going off.

I GET IT I AM OLD!

I might as well be 72 but instead today is my 27th birthday. So if you arnt doing anything tonight I think Missy, Nick, Eric, Andy and I might be going to Columbia to Shakespeares and to look at some golf clubs and if you want to tag along send me an email.

The Easter Bunny.... The rest of the story!

bunny.jpg

So at work we discussed where the tradition of the Easter Bunny came from. So I looked it up and it looks like rabbits and hares, are fertility symbols from antiquity; since rabbits and hares give birth (to large litters) in the early spring, these became symbols of the rising fertility of the earth at the Vernal Equinox (Spring).

I always thought the Easter Bunny was just a dude who liked Hip-Hop and Candy!

Not Moving...

We are not selling our house and sailing around the ocean for a year. We are staying put, so deal with it (unless we go on vacation).

Moving to the Ocean!

Missy and I have always talked about quiting our jobs for a year, buying a boat and sailing around the Caribbean for a year. When we woke up this morning we decided to do it before we start our family, so after looking around the internet a little today I have called and put in a hold on this 2001 Hunter 380 Sailboat. We are going to go down and inspect it next weekend and if we like it we will put a bid in on it.

We are hoping we will be able to sell our house, put all our stuff in storage and be on the high seas by Missy's birthday (June 1st).

Yes we know people are going to think we are crazy but its something we want to do. Who wants to be our first boat guest?
